On August 19th, 2024, United Unions proudly attended the Los Angeles County Federation of Labor’s monthly House of Labor Meeting. The event was marked by an extraordinary turnout, a testament to the unwavering commitment of the LA Fed and its member organizations to the cause of labor rights and social justice.
This month, we were thrilled to bring along our partner, Union Grub Food Truck, to add a little sweetness to the occasion. Our team served up delicious cookies, ice cream, and refreshing beverages, creating an atmosphere of camaraderie and community among the attendees. In addition to the treats, we hosted a special drawing where representatives from various Labor Unions had the chance to win exciting prizes.
Our partnership with the LA Fed has been a cornerstone of our mission at United Unions. The Los Angeles County Federation of Labor, a powerful federation of over 300 affiliated unions and labor organizations, represents more than 800,000 members. Each one of these members has a unique story and background, but they all stand united in a shared mission: to build a movement for justice that protects the rights of working people and improves the lives of families and communities.
Since its founding in 1894, the LA Fed has been a driving force for progress, advocating for the rights of workers and fostering an environment where labor unions can thrive. We at United Unions are proud to stand alongside such a historic and impactful organization. Our continued collaboration with the LA Fed is a reflection of our deep commitment to the labor movement and our belief in the power of collective action.
As we look forward to many more events and opportunities to work together, we remain dedicated to supporting the LA Fed’s mission and advancing the cause of justice for all working people. Together, we can continue to build a brighter future for our communities.
